Lentz to follow son’s ‘Great Adventure’ on TV

Published December 3, 2003

Zach Lentz, son of Billy Lentz Jr. of Lincolnton, has an eye for adventure.

Lentz’s adventurous nature will put him in the public’s eye Sunday during the Fine Living Network’s show, “The Great Adventure.”

The show — known to give its viewers a look at unique action-packed trips — will feature Lentz and his fiancee, Erin Pigman, skiing the slopes of the Portillo Ski Area in Chile.

The documentary follows the couple’s adventures as they tour the area in August.

Portillo, Chile, located in the heart of the Andes Mountains on the Argentina border, is known for its breathtaking views and legendary runs adjacent to the lake of the Incas.

Lentz is a 1993 graduate of East Lincoln High School. He attended Colorado Mountain College. He has worked with the Extreme Skiing Film Company as well as serving as production assistant filming a documentary on climbing Mt. Everest.

Lentz is an active rock climber, mountain biker and competitive free skier.

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Pigman graduated from the University of Florida. Past assistant editor of “Elevation Magazine,” she works in public relations.

The show will air at 7 p.m. Sunday.
