Concert offers blend of piano, vocals
New season begins Thursday at First Baptist

Oct. 31 - The Lincoln County Concert Association will host a performance Thursday night that will offer a blend of piano and vocals.
For the inaugural program of its 21st anniversary concert season, the group will welcome Gloria Saarinen, pianist, and Mark Dubose, tenor, to perform at First
Baptist Church of Lincolnton.
Thursday night’s show will be at 7:30.
The combination includes Canada’s foremost lyric tenor, Dubose, and the acclaimed concert pianist, Saarinen.
Dubose performs regularly at The Hollywood Bowl as well as music festivals in Europe. Saarinen has graced the stages of nearly every great concert hall in Europe.
For this performance, Kawai Piano has brought in a $130,000 hand-made Kawai model EX nine-foot concert grand piano to the church auditorium. There are only a half-dozen of these pianos
available in North American.
The 21st season will also include the London Piano Duo, Butch Thompson (of Prairie Home Companion) and the Manhattan Rhythm Kings. Tickets are $30 for adult
membership; $10 for children; $40 for a single-parent family membership; and $70 for a dual-parent family.
Tickets for single programs are $15 at the door.
The Lincoln County Concert Association. is a not-for-profit corporation supported entirely by member subscriptions and special gifts.
