Three people were taken to area hospitals following this wreck Thursday on Hovis Road. David Lora, 21, of Iron Station and his passenger,
a 22-year-old pregnant female, were transported to Gaston Memorial Hospital. The passenger's name was not immediately available. Kathy Swayney, 41, of Iron Station was taken to Lincoln Medical Center.
All three had to be extricated from their vehicles. Here, Carrie Draper and Bruce Mashburn with Lincoln County EMS assist the patients. Boger City and Alexis fire departments also responded to the crash.
The incident is under investigation by the N.C. Highway Patrol. Emergency crews responded to a rash of wrecks Thursday.
