Local jugglers join worldwide celebration
By Bill Giduz, Davidson College, Media Relations
June 5, 2002 - Jugglers, juggling fans, and would-be jugglers throughout the area are invited to celebrate World Juggling Day on the Davidson Village
Green on Saturday morning, June 15.
The fun begins at 9 a.m. and continues until noon in the heart of downtown Davidson at the corner of Main Street and Concord Road, and there is no admission
charge.
The Lake Norman Jugglers will host the event, and give away free water-injected tennis balls to all guests.
Juggling instruction will be conducted throughout the morning, and visitors can try their hands at a wide variety of juggling props, including clubs, rings,
cigar boxes, devil sticks, and diabolos. Juggling literature and videos will also be on display.
Interested persons are also invited to join the Lake Norman Jugglers on the Village Green for their regular weekly meetings each Sunday from 3-5 p.m. For more
information on World Juggling Day or the regular meetings, contact Bill Giduz at 704/892-1296 (h), 704/894-2244 (o), giduz@bellsouth.net.
