HOMECOMING
Former members, friends and relatives of Antioch United Methodist Church in Crouse are welcome to the annual homecoming on Sunday. The church is located off of N.C. 150 in Crouse. Guest speaker at the 11 a.m. worship service will be the Rev. Fred Falls, former pastor of Crouse and Pleasant Grove United Methodist churches. A covered dish meal will follow in the arbor. A business session will be at 2:30 p.m. following lunch.
COOKING DISPLAY
The Lincoln County Farmers Market at Denver will welcome Chef Blake Dewey for a cooking demonstration Saturday at 9 a.m. Dewey is the co-owner of Pomodoro’s in Mooresville featuring Italian-American cuisine. The Farmers Market is located at Rock Springs Elementary School on N.C. 16 in Denver.

PUTTING PARTY
NEWTON – Abernethy Laurels is hosting residents for a Tee Time Partee at 2 p.m. Aug. 29 at the gazebo and putting green on campus.
The golf-theme party will offer refreshments and special demonstrations on golf techniques.

QUILT GUILD
Lincolnton Piecemakers Quilt Guild meets 10 a.m. until noon the first Wednesday each month at the Lincoln County Senior Center, 511 Aspen St. Members also meet the third Monday each month to work on community projects and help with basic quilting education. Annual dues is $15.

Lincolnton 4-Square Gospel Church, 441 E Rhodes St. will hold homecoming services beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday with Dr. Jack Fox as guest speaker. The Fletcher Family will be singing and lunch will follow the services.

The Salem Precinct will hold a Democratic precinct meeting at the headquarters on Water Street at 7 p.m. Monday.
REVIVAL
Mt. Vernon Baptist Church will hold homecoming services and revival next week starting with lunch at 1:30 p.m. and Rev. B.R Moore speaking 2:30. Monday through Thursday Dr. Dennis Williams will be the revival speaker at 7 p.m.
