SOUTH CAROLINA — Charles Richard Owens, 74, of 5055 Hilander Drive, died July 11, 2004. Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Beaufort, SC. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
Born in Cherryville, he was a retired house painter and a veteran of Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Betsy Owens of the home; a daughter, Patricia Owens of Beaufort, SC; a brother, Larry Owens of Cherryville and a sister, Hilda Craig of Vale.

Ollie Davis
SHELBY — Ollie Mae Davis, 86, of 1455 Williamson Road, died July 9, 2004. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Pentecostal Apostolic Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Temple Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3 today at the church.

MORGANTON — Donna June Sexton Ray, 44, of 4878 Elk Court, died July 11, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tremont Avenue Church of God in Greenville, SC, where she was a member. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 today at the church.
Born in Greenville, SC, she attended Lincolnton Church of God and was employed by Parkside Restaurant as a manager in Morganton.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Ray of the home; a daughter, Haley Wilson of Raleigh; a son, Rusty Wilson III of Raleigh; her mother and step-father, Brenda and Dough Duncan of Hendersonville, Tenn.; her father and step-mother, Wayne and Johnsie Sexton of Lincolnton, NC; a sister, Lisa Batson of Hendersonville, Tenn. and a brother, Kenneth Sexton Jr. of Hendersonville, Tenn.

Rayford Beam
CHERRYVILLE — Rayford A. Beam, 80, of 977 Bess Chapel Church Road, died July 12, 2004. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, he was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers and was a WWII Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jean C. Beam of the home; two sons, Ronald Beam and Todd Beam of Cherryville; a daughter, Shasta Steele of Cherryville; a brother, Bobby Beam of Lincolnton; a sister, Merlene Carpenter of Lincolnton; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Beatrice Greene
CHERRYVILLE — Beatrice Louise Parker Greene, 76, of 709 Old Stubbs Road, died July 12, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral Home.
Born in Cleveland County, she was retired from Sky City.
Survivors include her husband, George Greene; a son, Steve Greene of Cherryville; two daughters, Patsy Lukowski of Iron Station and Peggy Turner of Matthews; a brother, Clyde Parker of Shelby; four sisters, Jane Sipes of Fallston, Mary Rogers, Shirley Edwards and Barbara Black all of Shelby; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
