The William Lentz Recreation Center and Betty G. Ross Park on S. Grove St. are alive with activity this summer.
The pool and park have been filled with families looking for picnicking, playing and escaping the heat.
The pool is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Cost of admission is $2 per person.
The park, which is open during daylight hours, includes playground equipment, picnic tables and shelters, tennis courts, disc golf course and baseball fields. There is no charge for admission.
In addition to the public pool and park, the Lincolnton/Lincoln County Parks and Recreation Department is located on the grounds. Youth may participate in various sports camps during the summer including soccer, tennis and basketball.
