Daniel Donohue
Daniel Emmanuel Donohue, 54, of 335 Colonial Village Drive, died June 6, 2004. The funeral was this morning at 10 at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in Hollybrook Cemetery.
Born in Hoboken, N.J., he was a security supervisor.
Survivors include Roberta “Bobbie” D’Ambrosio; two daughters, Christie Keebaugh of Massachusetts and Kelly Bissett of New Jersey; two brothers, Richard Donohue of California and James Donohue of New Jersey; one sister, Maureen Licata of Florida; two step-sons, David D’Ambrosio of Summerville, S.C. and Adam J. D’Ambrosio of Revers, Mass.; one step-daughter, Melanie D’Ambrosoio Turner of Lincolnton; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 107 N. Cedar St., Lincolnton, N.C. 28092.

Mayzelle Upton
CHERRYVILLE — Mayzelle Heavner Upton, 82, of 705 Craig St., died June 6, 2004. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Second Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
Born in Lincoln County, she was retired from Dora Yarn Mills after 35 years of service.
Survivors include her daughter, Lavonda McSwain of Cherryville; three sons, David Upton of Hickory, Dean Upton of Plantation, Fla. and Eddie Upton of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Michelle Leota, Matthew Upton, Christopher Upton, Danielle Wright, Casey Upton, Wes McSwain, Michael McSwain and Sharon McSwain; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, N.C. 28150.

George McKissick
SHELBY — George McKissick, 84, of 500 Airline Avenue, died June 5, 2004. Funeral services will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Roberts Tabernacle CME Church. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
Enloe Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

William Accor
SHELBY — William Accor, 80, of 820 Earl Road Apt. 5D, died June 7, 2004. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Enloe Mortuary.

Sammie Vinson
LAWNDALE — Sammie Lou Vinson of 2600 Ball Park Road died June 7, 2004. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Enloe Mortuary.

Jim Abernathy
BESSEMER CITY — James “Jim” Harold Abernathy, 65, of 509 Old NC 277, died June 7, 2004. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Puett United Methodist Church where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born in Gaston County, he was a retired supervisor with American Efrid Textile Manufacturing Company and worked for Threads Inc. for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Wyont; two sons, Danny James Abernathy of Bessemer City and Jeffery Scott Abernathy of Clover, S.C.; a brother, Ronnie Michael Abernathy of Blacksburg, S.C.; five grandchildren, Jamey Abernathy, Darrin Abernathy, Ronny Vause, Devin Poindexter and Joshua Poindexter; and one great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to the building fund of Puett United Methodist Church, 3021 Puett Chapel Road, Dallas, N.C. 28034 or Hospice of Gaston County, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, N.C. 28053.
