Bread of Life food giveaway

Daniels Lutheran Church, located at 3170 Reepsville Road in Lincolnton, recently held its third Bread of Life Food Giveaway. Roughly 130 boxes of food were given away, totaling 6,000 pounds. The food will serve 349 people in Lincoln County. Food was obtained through Lincoln County Christian Ministry and Second Harvest Food Bank of Charlotte. Twenty-four Daniels’ volunteers boxed up food with assistance from eight children from Daniels. Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Lincolnton sent a team of seven to observe and learn how to conduct their own food giveaway. Daniels’ next food giveaway is June 15, 2013.
