The East Lincoln Mustangs varsity baseball team took a 6-5 win over the Bandys Trojans and hotshot pitcher Hunter Harvey on Friday.
East Lincoln pitcher Darin Salter threw for 4.2 innings and nabbed his first win of the season. Salter gave up three runs on six hits and struck out three Bandys batters.
Mustang freshman Chris Cox earned the save in 2.1 innings of work, allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts.
Salter led East Lincoln at the plate and went 2-3 with three RBIs. Danny Sullivan went 1-3 with two RBIs, including a two-run home run in the top of the fourth.
Bandys held a 2-0 lead at the end of the second inning but the Mustangs pulled ahead with a five-run fourth inning.
The teams play a rematch today in Denver.
