Players of the Week: Week 12

Lincolnton Wolves
Offense:
Junior running back Justice Whitesides ran for 104 yards on 24 carries in Lincolnton’s win over Wilkes Central.
Defense:
Freshman linebacker Ty Smith picked off a Wilkes Central pass and returned it 32 yards to the Eagles’ 3-yard line. The return was called back to the 35-yard line because of a holding penalty against the Wolves. (Photograph not available)

East Lincoln Mustangs
Offense:
Senior quarterback Garrett Young passed for 322 yards and five touchdowns on 23 completions against Wheatmore.
Defense:
Senior linebacker Scott McMichael had six tackles  in the first round of the playoffs against Wheatmore.

West Lincoln Rebels
Offense:
Junior running back Daniel Davila ran for 132 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries at South Iredell.
Defense:
None chosen for the Rebels’ first-round playoff game against South Iredell.
