Criminal Charges — 8-13-12

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

• Phillip Matha Gantt, 26, of 7346 Reeps Grove Ch. Rd. in Vale was charged Aug. 7 with one count each of felon possessing firearm, possession with intent to manufacture a schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A $14,500 secured bond was set.
• Haley Kristin Gantt, 24, of 7346 Reeps Grove Ch. Rd. in Vale was charged Aug. 7 with one count each possession with intent to manufacture a schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A $4,500 secured bond was set.
• Kenneth Justin Ward, 27, of 3852 King Wilkinson Rd. in Denver was charged Aug. 7 with three counts of failure to appear and one count of probation violation. A $5,000 bond was set.
• Wendy Lynn Poole, 34, of 5375 E. N.C. 27 in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 7 with two counts of failure to appear. A $4,000 secured bond was set.
• William Daniel Britt Jr., 29, of 2528 Fairlawn Ln. in Stanley was charged Aug. 7 with one count of failure to comply. No bond was set.
• Brianna Lynn Spurlin, 33, of 144 Sheffield Farms Trl. in Harmony, N.C., was charged Aug. 7 with two counts of failure to appear. A $60,000 secured bond was set.
• Thomas Gerald Stamey, 48, of 3893 Leger Rd. in Valdese was charged Aug. 7 with three counts of failure to appear and one count of probation violation. A $5,000 secured bond was set.
• Betty Diane Sexton, 40, of 6622 Pine Ridge Dr. in Denver was charged Aug. 7 with one count of failure to appear. No bond was set.
• Michael Brandon Shinn, 19, of 1933 Bison Tr. in Maiden was charged Aug. 7 with one count of assault on a female. No bond was set.
• Richard A. Abernathy, 41, of 722 Meridian Way in Vale was charged Aug. 7 with one count of failure to appear. No bond was set.
• Darrell Dee McClure, 31, of 607 S. Loriane St. in Dallas was charged Aug. 8 with one count of failure to appear. A $2,000 secured bond was set.
• Daniel Richard Stroupe III, 24, of 4627 King Wilkinson Rd. in Denver was charged Aug. 8 with one count each of stalking, injury to personal property, harassing phone/obscene call, using a telephone to threaten bodily harm and assault on a female by a male over 18 yrs. of age. A $5,000 secured bond was set.

 The Lincolnton Police Department reported the following arrests:

• Barbara Ann Sosa, 31, of 125 Mauney Dr. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 6 with two misdemeanor counts of injury to real property. A $1,000 unsecured bond was set.
• Robert Lee Evans, 46, of 2087 Deans Ln. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 6 with one misdemeanor count each of driving while license revoked and possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. An $800 unsecured bond was set.
• Larry Charles Phifer, 47, of 505 Davis St. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 6 with one misdemeanor count each of driving while license revoked and shoplifting/concealment of goods. A $737.50 secured bond was set.
• Patty Adams, 44, of 828 E. Gaston St. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 7 with one misdemeanor count of larceny and possessing stolen property. A $3,000 secured bond was set.
• Dustin Allen Myers, 22, of Lee Ave. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 7 with one misdemeanor count of first-degree trespassing. A $300 secured bond was set.
