Criminal charges — 8-8-12

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

• Niachece Tyrone Tucker, 18, of 6691 Denver Heights Cir. in Denver was charged Aug. 2 with two counts of failure to appear and one count of surrender of surety. No bond was set.
• Robert Wayne Ellis, 39, of 265 Campbell Ln. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 2 with one count of probation violation. No bond was set.
• Kelly Smith Cape, 26, of 410 W. Sycamore St. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 2 with two counts of probation violation and one count of failure to comply. A $300 bond was set.
• Leslie Ann Wylie, 37, of 107 Diana Rd. in Cherryville was charged Aug. 2 with one count of failure to appear. A $20,000 secured bond was set.
• Amanda Donielle Nierman, 22, of 4349 Apex Dr. in Maiden was charged Aug. 2 with one count of failure to appear. A $500 secured bond was set.
• Quford Sherard Dillard, 36, of 6444 McIntosh Rd. in Stanley was charged Aug. 2 with two counts of failure to comply and one count of assault on a female by a male over 18 years of age. A $400 secured bond was set.
• Larry Darnell Arnold, 62, of 4278 Catawba Burris Rd. in Denver was charged Aug. 2 with one count each of communicating threats and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. A $300 secured bond was set.
• Scott Bradford Walton, 44, of 1158 Park Cir. #2 in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 2 with one count each of communicating threats, resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer, assault on a female by a male over 18 yrs. of age, disorderly conduct (non-specific) disturbing the peace and simple assault & battery or affray. An $800 secured bond was set.
• Aldan Leroy Borland, 28, of 1394 Confederate Rd. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 2 with one count of larceny. No bond was set.
• Wayne Thomas Garrett Jr., 23, of 1619 Mecklenburg Hwy. in Mooresville was charged Aug. 3 with four counts of failure to appear and one count of failure to comply. A $574 secured bond was set.
• Benny Isaac Self, 69, of 179 James St. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 3 with one count of violating a domestic violence protective order. A $2,500 bond was set.
• Jose Julian Valverde, 24, of 18 Woodmont Cir. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 3 with one count of failure to appear. No bond was set.
• Christopher Scott Lail, 25, of 2898 Orchard Rd. in Iron Station was charged Aug. 3 with one count of possession of substances. No bond was set.

The Lincolnton Police Department reported the following arrests:

•  Jennie Bowkley Ohlsen, 35, of 19135 Juanita Ln. in Cornelius was charged Aug. 2 with one misdemeanor count of communicating threats. She was released on a written promise.
• Tracey E. Nance, 38, of 721 E. Pine St. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 2 with one misdemeanor count of assault & battery. A $1,000 unsecured bond was set.
• Vanessa Sue Edgerton, 40, of 423 Lee Avenue in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 2 with one misdemeanor count each of larceny and second-degree trespassing.
• An $800 secured bond was set.
• Wilbert Lester Fair, 43, of Cloverleaf Lane in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 2 with two felony counts of first-degree murder.
• He is being held without bond.
• Melinda Dawn Aragon, 36, of 164 James St. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 3 with two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear for driving while impaired. A $500 secured bond was set.
• Toni Danielle Sronce, 27, of 162 Shell St. in Lincolnton was charged Aug. 3 with one felony count of breaking and entering and one misdemeanor count of damage to property.
• A $25,000 secured bond was set.
