David and Sandra Helms of Lincolnton announce the engagement of their daughter, Candace Brittney Helms to Stephen Andrew Silver II, both of Boone. He is the son of Stephen and Terrie Silver of Boone. They plan to marry October 13, 2012 in Blowing Rock.
