Ray Gora / Lincoln Times-NewsEd House performs “Taps” on the bugle at VFW Post 1706 on Sunday as he and fellow veterans honor military personnel who died in the service of their country. Attendees also lit candles to form the “Illuminated Cross” on the VFW lawn, which has been a Memorial Day tradition in Lincolnton for more than 30 years.
