Two West Lincoln High School students are accused of breaking into multiple vehicles earlier this month in an area on the county’s western end.
The 16-year-old Lincolnton residents allegedly stole GPS units, a purse and a case of 40 CDs from unlocked vehicles located along the 400 block of Franks Road and Heavners Farm Court.
Authorities believe that the incidents occurred sometime between midnight and 1 a.m. on March 16, the same time a neighbor reported seeing the suspects walking around the area, a Sheriff’s Office press release stated.
Brandon Lawrence Sain, of Frank’s Road, and Dillon Edward Morris, of Sunbeam Drive, were each charged Monday with seven felony counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and six misdemeanor counts of larceny.
Each teen is currently in the custody of a guardian.
According to sheriff’s Lieutenant Tim Johnson, head of criminal investigations, the teens will be tried as adults.
The Times-News left a message for West Lincoln High School Principal Cale Sain Thursday afternoon but had yet to receive a call back at time of publication.
