A man who sexually assaulted a young girl in Lincoln County two years ago was sentenced late last week to a maximum of three decades behind bars.
Frank Gene Seagle, 48, of 282 Victory Grove Church Road in Lincolnton, was found guilty Thursday in Superior Court of one-count each of statutory sex offense and taking indecent liberties with a child, according to Sheriff’s Office authorities.
Det. Seth Bailey arrested Seagle in August 2009 for assaulting a 4-year-old girl in the county, a press release said.
Seagle is set to spend between 25 and 30 years in prison.
