Dancer’s Edge teams win awards

Senior and junior competition teams from The Dancer’s Edge won various awards in location competitions. The school’s choreographer, Kim Knowles-Sullivan, won the “Lightening Bolt” award during the White Lightening Talent Competition held April 17 and 18. Contributed

Teams from The Dancer’s Edge Dance Studio won honors at Star Systems Regional Talent Competition April 2-5. Groups received Golf First Place and High Gold achievements.
“Red Football” (senior competition team) received fifth overall senior division, and “Dragula” (senior competition team) received fourth overall senior division.
Tyler Lawrence received fifth overall teen solo with “I’m Good.” Ashley Gilroy received a platinum and top senior soloist with “Hip Hop Mix.”
In the White Lightening Talent Competition held April 17 and 18 in Lincolnton, all competition groups received a first perfect rating.
“Hollyrock” (mini competition team) earned the Distinction in Dance award.
“Stuff Like That There” (junior competition team, received third overall in the junior division.
“Red Football” received first overall in the senior division.
The “Lightening Bolt” award for best choreography of the day went to Kim Noles-Sullivan.
