CHERRYVILLE — Shirley Robert Simpson II, 55, of 108 Little Matt Drive, died April 25, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Born in Loudon County, Va., he was a truck driver for ER Ellis and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Darlene Simpson of the home; two sons, Shirley Simpson III and Joseph Simpson both of Cherryville; two daughters, Tanya Simpson and Princess Simpson both of Cherryville; a brother, Luther Simpson of Cherryville; two sisters, Patricia Stiles of Martinsburg, W. Va. and Cecelia Smith of New Market, Md. and seven grandchildren.
Larry Rudisill
Larry Douglas Rudisill, 61, of Woodmont Circle Apt. 17-E, died April 25, 2004. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial followed at Hollybrook Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, he was a fixer supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Rudisill of Lincolnton; four sons, Todd Rudisill, Gary Rudisill, Terry Rudisill and Tim Rudisill all of Lincolnton and 12 grandchildren.

Bill Sneed
WACO — Clarence William “Bill†Sneed, 78, of 1631 Sneed Road, died April 25, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Waco Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow in Capernaum Cemetery.
Born in Gaston County, he was a retired farmer and long driver for Carolina Freight Carriers and a WWII U.S. Army Air Corp veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Campbell Sneed; a son, Doug Sneed of Waco; a daughter, Sherry Ingle of Waco; two grandchildren, Kevin Sneed and Michael Ingle Jr.; a great-granddaughter and two sisters, Aileen Black and Sue Dalton both of Waco.

Born in Lincoln County, he was retired from EA Teck Service of Atlanta, Ga. and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Huffstetler Goins of Dalton, Ga.; a daughter, Stacy Doran of Dalton, Ga.; a sister, Teresa Lavasseur of Lincolnton; three brothers, David Goins and Cone Carpenter II both of Crouse and Ricky Carpenter of Cherryville and his mother, Ann Milburn Goins Carpenter of Crouse.
Alma Williams
CHERRYVILLE — Alma Louise Costner Williams, 76, of 5672 Coot Williams Road, died April 26, 2004. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Anthony Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Beulah Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Carpenters Funeral Home.
Born in Gaston County, she was retired from Doran Mill and attended Anthony Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dock Williams of the home; three daughters, Charlotte Sigmon and Diane Hudson both of Cherryville and Linda Ramsey of Columbus, Ga.; three sons, David Seagle, Bill Williams and Leonard Williams all of Cherryville; three sisters, Faye Truesdale of Cherryville, Marylee Flowers and Geraldine Roome both of Bessemer City; two brothers, Harold Mauney and Walter Mauney both of Bessemer City; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

DENVER — Stephen Adam Maliszewski, 46, of 2264 Beth Haven Church Road, died April 25, 2004. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Denver United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Denver Community Cemetery.
Born in New York, he was employed by Food Lion.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Clawson Maliszewski of the home; a daughter, Erika Maliszewski of Hendersonville; a son, David Lyles II of Charlotte; a grandson, Gavin Lyles; his parents, Adam and Joyce Maliszewski of New Port Richey, Fla. and three brothers, Bobby Maliszewski of New York City, David Maliszewski of Rhode Island and Andy Maliszewski of New York City.

CHARLOTTE — Ellen Patricia Rayburn, 77, died April 26, 2004. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Carolina Funeral Service and Cremation Center in Charlotte. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born in Lexington.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Hucks of Reno, Nev. And Jimmy Hucks of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Diane Cunningham of Iron Station, Jeanette Miller and Phyllis Childress both of Charlotte; a brother, Jack Dagenhart of Charlotte; a sister, Madeline Crisler of Augusta, Ga.; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Vera Edge
Vera McGregor Edge, 96, of 529 N. Cedar St., died April 27, 2004. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.
Born in Draton, SC, she was retired from Rhyne Mills.
Survivors include two sons, William Edge Jr. of Titusville, Fla. and Robert Edge of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
