Betty Leatherman Avery, 75, of Lincolnton, died April 24, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, she was retired from Mohigan Mills.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Jane Leatherman of Lincolnton and Martha Duncan of Crouse and a brother, Carl Leatherman of Cherryville.

DENVER — Bonnie Elkins Hicks, 73, of Denver, died April 24, 2004. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Denver Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Born in Haynesville, Claiborne Parish, La., she was a member of Denver Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Prentis Hicks; a son, Phil Hicks of Cornelius; a daughter Bonnie Saltzman of Denver; a sister, Bernell Primm of Webster Parish, La.; four grandchildren, Dan Saltzman, John Saltzman, Stacey Diamond and Richard Hicks and her father, Bernice “Cotton†Elkins of Shreveport, La.

Born in Rocky Mount, she was a knitter and a member of El Shaddai Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Williams Jr. of Charlotte and John Williams of Lincolnton; a daughter, Brenda Blackburn of Lincolnton; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Carrie Roseman
Carrie May Roseman, 97, of Lincolnton, died April 24, 2004. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be private.
She was a retired teacher from Lincolnton High School, a member of the Retired Teachers Association and a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Survivors include Frances Killian of the home; two sisters, Laverne Hand of Greensboro and Emily Geiger of Hampton, Va. and a brother, Robert Roseman of Salisbury.

Born in Sumpter County, SC, she was a retired weaver in the textile industry.
Survivors include a son, Wilburn Lineberger of Stanley; a daughter, Myrtle Dellinger of Stanley; a sister, Helen Gray of Denver; a brother, Ralph Jolly of Carrollton, Ga.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

NEWTON — Grace Estelle Isenhour, 92, died April 24, 2004. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton. Burial followed in Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Born in Catawba County, she was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a brother, Albert Isenhour of Newton and a niece, Carrolle Elliott of Cornelius.

Born in Catawba County, she was a homemaker and the owner of Schronce Used Auto Parts.
Survivors include her husband, James Schronce of the home; three sons, David Schronce, Ronnie Schronce and Keith Schronce all of Claremont; three sisters, Alice Hickman, Peggy Shook and Patsy Jolly all of Taylorsville and six grandchildren.
