A Lawndale woman is accused of embezzling money several different times from the Lincolnton Wal-Mart store where she worked, Lincolnton police said.
Authorities responded to the business Monday after a witness reported that they had seen her take the cash.
Officers reported that 22-year-old Candace Leigh Cothran, of 245 Boyles Road, admitted taking money from the store’s cash register on five other occasions.
Cothran attempted to steal at least $260 in cash, police said.
She faces six felony counts of embezzlement and remains in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
