Lois Sigmon
CHERRYVILLE — Lois Virginia Sigmon, 82, of 1422 E. Main St., died April 5, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
Born in Cherryville, she was retired from Meade Knitting.
Survivors include two brothers, Jack Sigmon and Richard Sigmon both of Cherryville and a sister, Eva Hoover of Cherryville.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 107 West Academy St., Cherryville, NC 28021.

Polly Willis
Pauline “Polly” McCaslin Willis, 87, of Carolina Care Center, formerly of Jerry Crump Road, died April 4, 2004. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Born in Catawba County, she was retired from Vale Hosiery.
Survivors include a daughter, Judie Eaker of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Mark Willis, Tim Willis, Valerie Keefe and Allen Eaker; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clee McCaslin of Gastonia and CJ McCaslin of Hickory and a sister, Nettie Neagles of Belmont.

Bessie Potter
Bessie Auton Bartlett Potter, 93, of Cardinal Health Care, died April 3, 2004. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born in Catawba County, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Shrum of Lincolnton; three granddaughters, Laura McSwain, Dawn Shrum and Joy Miller; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandsons, Shane Heavner, Matt Heavner and Jason Heavner and three step-great granddaughters.

Warren Cook
CASAR — Warren Walter Cook, 83, of 801 St. Paul Church Road, died April 6, 2004. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside rites by the U.S. Army and Lawndale American Legions Post 302. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home.
Born in Cleveland County, he was retired from Duke Power.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Cook; three sons, Jack Cook of Lincolnton, Max Cook and Danny Cook both of Casar; one brother, Lester Cook of Casar; two granddaughters, Tanya Philbeck and Jessica Cook; one step-granddaughter, Tammy Shook and one step-grandson, Neal Sells.

SHELBY — Andrew Albert Borders, 89, of 409 North Morgan St., died April 5, 2004. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Washington Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
