Ruby Abernathy
DENVER – Ruby Jane Little Abernathy, 82, of 3294 St. James Church Road, died Dec. 9, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Denver United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a retired clerk from Belk.
Survivors include husband Walter Abernathy; one daughter, Brenda Cheetham of Powder Springs, Ga.; two grandchildren, Andrea Cheetham and Wesley Cheetham; two brothers, Coley Little of Denver and John Little of Lincolnton; one sister, Mary Alice Sigmon of Denver.

Warlick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lillie M. Ramseur
VALE – Lillie Mae Ramseur, 89, of 5426 Hope Road, died Dec. 7, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at Coulter’s Grove A.M.E. Zion church. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
A native of Catawba County, she was a retired homemaker and a member of Davis Chapel A.M.E. Zion church.
Survivors include four sons, Preston Ramseur, Linward Ramseur of Vale, Leon Ramseur of Conove and Jimmie Ramseur of Hickory; two daughters, Jeanette Ellis of Vale and Rebecca Smith of Iron Station; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Ebony and White’s Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Glenn McKee
LAWNDALE – Plato Glenn McKee, 70, of 433 Plainsview Church Road, died Dec. 8, 2004. Funeral services are private.
A native of Cleveland County, he was retired as a long line driver for Carolina Freight. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and Fallston Masonic Lodge 356.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis McKee of Lawndale, Jerry McKee of Morganton, Randy McKee of Fallston and Barry McKee of Fallston; one daughter, Mary McKee of Lawndale; three brothers, Hillard McKee of Valdese, Gene McKee of Ellenboro and Roger McKee of Booneville; one sister, Mary Ellen Wellmon of Shelby and ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 219, Fallston, NC 28042 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
