Albert Kale Sr.
NEWTON – Albert Edward Kale Sr., 85, of East K St., died Nov. 23, 2004. Funeral services were 6 p.m. Friday at Burke Mortuary Chapel.
A native of Catawba County, he was a member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was formerly employed by Burlington Industries as a weaver.
Survivors include wife Lucy Starr Kale; two sons, Lynnel Starr of Dallas, Ga. and Al Kale of Conover; two daughters, Sissy Lehmons of Hickory and Kathy Guthrie of Morrisville; one sister, Margaret Dyer of Abernethy Retirement Home; 10 grandchildren, Verna Kale, Clayton Kale, Jesse Kale, Andrea Sandmann, Jennifer Lang, Jimmy Hicks, Kathryn Condrey, Cortney Lehmons, Brett Lehmons and Alex Lehmons and four great-grandchildren.

Joe Leonard
Joe Alexander Leonard, 87, formerly of 602 N. Grove St., died Nov. 28, 2004. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Warlick Funeral Home.

Ronald Wilson
SHELBY – Ronald James Wilson, 55, died Nov. 27, 2004. Funeral Arrangements are incomplete at Enloe Mortuary.

Patrick Byrd
Patrick Joseph Byrd, 15, of 2690 Buffalo Forest Road, died Nov. 25, 2004. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. today at Sharon Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A native of Gaston County, he was a student at North Lincoln High School.
Survivors include father, Jeff Byrd; mother Elizabeth Tate Byrd of Denver; one brother, Elliot Haupt of Lincolnton; one sister, Nikki Byrd of Lincolnton; grandparents, Gene and Linda Byrd of Iron Station; Mary McMurry of Lincolnton and Bobby McMurry of Granite Falls.
Warlick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willie Moore
BLACKSBURG, S.C. –
Willie Moore, 80, died Nov. 24, 2004. A graveside service will be held Thursday at Mountain View Cemetery.
Enloe Mortuary in Shelby is in charge of arrangements.

Cathy Dellinger
VALE – Cathy Peeler Dellinger, 38, of 1723 John Beam Road, died Nov. 26, 2004. Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday at North Brook Baptist Church. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Catawba County, she was employed as a home health nurse and a volunteer fireman at North Brook VFD.
Survivors include husband Bobby W. Dellinger; one daughter, Allison Brooke LeAnn Dellinger; father and mother, Floyd and Jane Peeler of Lincolnton.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 107 N. Cedar Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092 of to the North Brook VFD, Highway 274, Vale, NC 28168.

Walter Fortenberry
Walter Landon Fortenberry, 68, died Nov. 27, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. today in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
A native of Lincoln County, he was retired from Carolina Freight as a diesel mechanic. He was a U.S. Army veteran in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include wife Irene Jenkins Fortenberry; two daughters, Sandra Fortenberry Helms of Lincolnton and Lori Fortenberry Lawing of Greenville, S.C.; three brothers, Bob Fortenberry of Florida, David Fortenberry of Lincolnton and Jim Fortenberry of Iron Station; two sisters, Betty Murphy and Barbara A. Fortenberry, both of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Jennifer Helms, Candace Helms, Stephanie Lawing and Bradley Lawing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 107 N. Cedar Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Eloise Talbert
SHERRILLS FORD – Eloise H. Talbert, 90, of Sherrills Ford Road, died Nov. 25, 2004. Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday at Smyrna United Church of Christ, where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Catawba County, she was a homemaker and babysitter.
Survivors include five children, Virginia Clontz, Pat Mayberry and Larry Talbert, all of Troutman, Joyce McConnell of Maiden and Boyce Talbert of Sherrills Ford; three sisters, Kathleen Sherrill, Corella Moore and Audrey Robinson, all of Sherrills Ford; one brother, Clifford Holdsclaw of Catawba; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Jessie Flowers
Jessie Lee Flowers, 17, of 1157 Birkdale Lane, died Nov. 25, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. today at Living Word Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Gloryland Baptist Church Cemetery.
A native of Burke County, he was a student at Asbury School.
Survivors include father William Wesley Flowers Jr. of Catawba; mother Margaret Marie Walter Beal of Lincolnton; two brothers, Michael Brandon Walter and William Devan Flowers of Catawba; one sister, Julia Maria Flowers of Catawba; two step-sisters, Christy Lynn Beal of Lincolnton and Ashley Danielle Beal Braddy of Hog Hill; step-father, Bobby Dale Beal of Lincolnton; grandparents, Wesley Flowers Sr. and Sheila Jane Flowers of Catawba and Robert E. Beal Jr. and Bessie Painter Beal of Lincolnton and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hughy of Catawba.
