Betty Walker
CHERRYVILLE – Betty Costner Walker, 56, of 310 East Sixth Street, died Nov. 6, 2004. Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. today at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends today from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native of Gaston County, she was retired as an LPN at the Brian Center in Lincolnton and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Polkville.
Survivors include one son, James Edward Walker; one daughter, Kimberly Shannon Walker; two sisters, Freida Nance and Sue Poindexter, both of Gastonia and four granchildren, Keshia Nichole Mays, Brittany Ann Mays, Darren James Walker and Brandon Wesley Walker.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Gary Jenkins
Gary Wayne Jenkins, 60, of 738 Mosteller Lane, died Nov. 5, 2004. A graveside service was held 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethal Methodist Church Cemetery.
A native of Gaston County, he was employed by Comforto Furniture.
Survivors include three brothers, Cecil Jenkins of Cherryville and Max Jenkins and Webb Jenkins, both of Lincolnton; three sisters, Dorothy Homesley of Lincolnton, Nancy Travis of Maiden and Rachel Laney of Iron Station.

Janice Boone
IRON STATION – Janice Marie Lewis Boone, 51, of 2527 Colewood Lane, died Nov. 5, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
A native of Catwaba County, she was a knitter in the textile industry.
Survivors include husband Patrick L. Boone; three daughters, Lisa skipper of Maiden, Sheila Lynn Fredell of Lincolnton and Jamie Boone of Dallas; one sister, Betty Morrison of Cherryville; five grandsons, Patrick Fredell, George Fredell, Dameron Ervin, John B. Skipper, and Brandon Boone and three granddaughters, Karen Skipper, Makayla Fredell and Brittany Beal.
Martha Davis
CONOVER – Martha Hodge Davis, 65, of County Home Road, died Nov. 7, 2004. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Burke Mortuary in Newton.
