Jo Ann Adams
NEWTON – Jo Ann Adams, 73, of Park Lane, died Oct. 30, 2004. Funeral services are 4 p.m. today at Burke Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery in Gibson at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary.
A native of Gibson, she was a teacher for 30 years, and worked for Corriher Import for 20.
Survivors include her godchildren and several special friends.

Larry Lusk
MAIDEN – Larry Wayne Lusk, 32, of Maiden Woods Circle, died Oct. 28, 2004. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday at Kings Way Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial followed in Maiden City Cemetery.
A native of Logan County, W. Va., he worked as an lineman at Profile Aviation Center, was a member of the Maiden American Legion Post 240 and was honored with the Abrams Award by the U.S. Army Reserve.
Survivors include wife Kallie Lutz Lusk; one daughter, Malorie Lusk; father Larry Cook of Pineville, W. Va.; Mother Beverly Lusk Long of Sevierville, Tenn.; grandmother Garnett Lusk of Oceana, W. Va.; three brothers, Christopher Scott Cook of Hampton, Va., Clay Cook of Pineville, W. Va. and David Terrace of Morganton; four sisters, Lori Anne Payne of Beckley, W. Va., Theresa Hammack of Hickory and Catherine Sponseller of Conover.

CHERYVILLE – Norma Villavos Sanchez, 31, of 102 Black Ave., died Oct. 29, 2004. A prayer service was held 6 p.m. Sunday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home. Burial in Campeche, Mexico will be at a later date.
A native of Oxaca, Mexico, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Omar Sanchez, Eddie Sanchez and Pablo Sanchez; one daughter, Clarabelle Sanchez of Mexico; five brothers and nine sisters.

NEWTON – Charles Clifton Bollinger, 79, of North West Blvd., died Oct. 30, 2004. Funeral services are 4 p.m. today at Old St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the funeral and burial at the Family Life Center of the church.
Survivors include wife Phyllis Childers Bollinger; one son, Terry Bollinger of Hickory; two daughters, Debby Stewart and Susan Smevog, both of Conover; three brothers, Rowe Bollinger and Bob Bollinger, both of Newton, and Jimmy Bollinger of Conover; one sister, Betty Matthews of Newton; six grandchildren, Avery Stewart, Caleb Bollinger, Ashlyn Thompson, Amber Bollinger, Amanda Bollinger and Allie Bolick and one great-grandchild.

A native of Catawba County, she was retired from Carolina Mills.
Survivors include three daughters, Ruby H. Cook, Geneva H. Hoffman and Jane H. Scronce, all of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
