Imogene Parker
Imogene Brown Parker, 65, formerly of 323 Southside Church Road, died Oct. 17, 2004. Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. today in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, she worked as a caregiver.
Survivors include one son, Kenny Worley of Lincolnton; one sister, Shirley Saine of Lincolnton and two grandchildren, Crystal Marie Worley and Christopher Dustin Worley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Warlick Funeral Home, PO Box 1407, Lincolnton, NC 28093.

Charles Hypes
DENVER – Charles Walter Hypes, 86, died Oct. 17, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at Lake Norman Lutheran Church, where he was a member. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Mecklenburg Memorial Park in Huntersville.
A native of Gilboa, W.V., he worked as a UAW representative for 27 years and served in the U.S. Army for four years during WWII.
Survivors include wife Virginia Eberhart Hypes; one son, Charles Herman Hypes of Beech Mountain; one daughter, Pamela Hypes James of Huntersville; two step-daughters, Sharon Gibson of Harrisburg and Linda Lewis of Rockwell; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Lake Norman Lutheran Church, 1445 N. Hwy. 16, Denver, NC 28037.
Raymer Funeral Home in Huntersville is in charge of arrangements.

Hessie Correll
Hessie Wilson Correll, 88, of 1901 Correll Drive, died Oct. 19, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Macedonia Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
A native of McDowell County, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Floyd Filliman Correll Jr. of Lincolnton; six daughters, Wilma Correll Lail and Geraldine Parker of Taylorsville, Rachael Ryder of Libby, Mont., Mary Murlene Jones of Hickory, Sandra Lail of Longview, Wash. and Beth Correll Burgess of Denver; one brother, Woodrow Wilson of Statesville; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Catawba County, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.

Larry Owens
CHERRYVILLE – Larry Gene Owens, 58, of 413 Ballard St., died Oct. 19, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Thursday in Cone Memorial Chapel at Carpenter’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 7:30 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
A native of Lincoln County, he was retired from Cherryville Electric Co. and was a member of Missionary Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Hilda Owens Craig of Vale; one son, Casey Paul Owens of Cherryville; three step-daughters, Rhonda Carol Davis, Angie Bridges and Wendy Kiser, all of Shelby; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
