Mabel Crouse
CROUSE – Mabel Lorraine Crouse, 95, died Oct. 10, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.
Crouse was a native of Lincoln County. She graduated from Lincolnton High School, attended Nursing School and graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College. She began her teaching career at Love Memorial Elementary School, and worked as a second grade teacher for 39 years. She was a founding member of St. Payl’s Lutheran Church where she worked as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Synod Delegat and lifetime member of the WELCA.
Survivors include Cecelia and Steve Martin of Crouse, William Warren II and Nori Warren of Columbia, S.C. and Joyce Crain and Bertie Trammel.

Joe Toms
SHELBY – Joe Z. Toms, 82, died Oct. 9, 2004. Arrangements are incomplete at Enloe Mortuary.
Blanche Black
CROUSE – Blanche Black, 70, of 3537 Crouse School Road, died Oct. 10, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Tuesday at Leonards Fork Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include husband Jack F. Black Sr.; one daughter, Connie Seagle of Lincolnton; six sons, Tony Black of Cherryville, Dean Black of Lincolnton, Jack Black Jr., Tim Black, Michael Black and David Black, all of Crouse; six brothers, Bennett Reep of High Shoals, N.C. Huss and Johnny Huss, both of Lincolnton, Edwin Huss, Donald Huss and Harry Huss, all of Crouse; three sisters, Marie Sigmon of Cherryville, Mabel Green of Shelby and Christine Dixon of Crouse; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Shona Parker
CONOVER – Shona Lynn Moore Parker, 36, of Sunset Court, died Oct. 6, 2004. Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday at Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden where she was a mother. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Rutherford County.
Survivors include husband Randy Parker Sr. of Newton; two sons, Randy Parker Jr. of Conover and Jason Parker of Newton; father Clarence Moore of Ellenboro; two half-sisters, Deanna Davis of Forest City, Christine Mosqueda of Gaffney, S.C.; one granddaughter, Jaclyn Gloria Parker of Conover and step-father Glenn Price of Forest City.
