Bosch Toll donates $20,000 to college

Robert Bosch Tool Corporation has donated $20,000 through the Gaston College Foundation to help build a Science and Technology Center on the Lincoln Campus of Gaston College.
That contribution brings the school very close to its goal of $1.9 million. Contributions now total approximately $1.6 million.
Rosalind Welder, dean of the Lincolnton Campus, said Bosch is known for its generosity to worthwhile projects in Lincoln County.
“We are extremely grateful for all of their help,” she said.
The corporation is a division of Robert Bosch GmbH, based in Stuttgart, Germany, and is a leading tool manufacturer in North America. Formerly known as Vermont American Corporation, the Lincolnton Facilities have been part of the community since 1960.
“Our company believes in supporting education,” said Juergen Buch, Vice President of Manufacturing for the Lincolnton operation. “We need good workers and we look to schools like Gaston College to help prepare them. Our company is glad to help the college build more science and computer labs.”
