Kevin Mosteller
IRON STATION – Kevin J. Mosteller, 40, of 1944 Brevard Place Road, died Sept. 13, 2004. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m Thursday at Fellowship Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
A native of Lincoln County, he was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad in Charlotte.
Survivors include wife Angelica P. Mosteller; three sons, Jacob Mosteller, Aaron Mosteller, and Eli Mosteller, all of Lincolnton; one daughter, Shaena Mosteller of Lincolnton; mother Shirley L. Mosteller of Iron Station; father Harry L. Mosteller of Perryville, MD; grandmother, Jessie “Babe†Mosteller of Lincolnton; one brother, Robert L. Mosteller, of Lincolnton and one sister, Melessa Denney, of Zephyrhills, Fla.
National Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.

HIGH SHOALS – Mariea Sue Bowlin, 58, of 200 Lincoln Street, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Warlick Funeral Home.
Dorothy Finger
MAIDEN – Dorothy Finger, 79, of Summerow Road, died Sept. 15, 2004. Funeral Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Martin Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at St. Matthews United Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Carye Brown
BOILING SPRINGS — Carye Marie Alexander Brown, 79, formerly of Cherryville, died Sept. 12, 2004. Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church where she was a member, with burial in City Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Lincolnton, she was a retired advertising manager for the Cherryville Eagle. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Order of the Long Leaf Pine and was named Woman of The Year in 1990 by the Cherryville Chamber of Commerce and the Cherryville Hall of Fame.
Survivors include daughter-in-law, Sandra Brown-Settlemyer; two grandsons, Heath Brown and Josh Brown and one great-grandchild.

Mattie Painter
Mattie Richard Painter, 84, formerly of 2623 Painter Lane, died Sept. 13, 2004. Funeral services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Warlick Funeral Home.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, William Painter of Lincolnton; four daughters, Margaret Painter of Maiden, Carolyn Avery of Lincolnton, Bessie Beal of Lincolnton, Brenda Fox of Lincolnton; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

James Bowen Jr.
HIGH SHAOLS – James Thomas Bowen Jr., 83, of 705 N. Lincoln Street, died Sept. 14, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in High Shoals Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
A native of Gaffney, S.C., he was a retired supervisor for Burlington Industries.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Bowen of Lincolnton and Ron Bowen of Dallas; one daughter, Shaye Rhodes of Sherrills Ford; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Calvin Beam
SHELBY – Calvin Lee Beam, 56, of 206 Chestnut St. died Sept. 13, 2004. Funeral serves are 2 p.m. Saturday at the S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel at Enloe Mortuary. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
He was a native of Cleveland County.
Survivors include mother Dorothy Wray Beam.

Glenn McCurry
LAWNDALE – Glenn Thomas McCurry, 70, of 311 Dirty Ankle Road, died Sept. 13, 2004. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Hill Baptist Church where he was a member. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
A native of Cleveland County, he was a retired plant engineer electrician with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, Calif.
Survivors include wife Dorothy Dean Hudson McCurry; two sons, David McCurry and Eddie McCurry of Lawndale; one daughter, Reneea Bailey of Vale; one sister, Helen Newton of Casar and eight grandchildren.

Boyd Broome
CHARLOTTE – Boyd Ray Broome, 72, died Sept. 13, 2004. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Gloryland Baptist Church where he was a member. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at McEwen Funeral Service, Derita Chapel.
A native of Mecklenburg County, he was retired as owner and operator of Broome Truck Repair.
Survivors include wife Annette Broome; one son, Tim Broome of Lincolnton; one daughter, Sharon Greene of Lexington, Ky.; daughter-in-law Denise Broome of Charlotte; one brother, Richard Broome of Concord; two sisters, Virginia Barris and Kay Jenkins, both of Charlotte, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
