Christopher Lynch
Christopher “Chris†Bernard Lynch, 53, of 309 lee Ave., died Sept. 11, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Thursday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow in the Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
A native of Lincoln County, he worked at the Brian Center.
Survivors include one son, Dion Lynch of Newton; two daughters, Camilla Lynch and Donna Lynch, both of Lincolnton; four brothers, Vaughn Lynch, Oswald Lynch, Jack Lynch, all of Lincolnton, and Brooks Lynch of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Tracey Ray and Portia Williams, both of Lincolnton and seven grandchildren.

Mallie Williams
CHERRYVILLE — Mallie Eaker Williams, 89, of 3964 Baxter Implement Road, died Sept. 10, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include brother Elden Eaker and sister Berneice Eaker Elliott.

Zeb McConnell
Zeb Harry Alton McConnell, 75, of Heath House, died Sept. 11, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. today at the Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
He was a native of Rowan County.

LANSING, MI – Reginald “Reggie†Paul Rodgers, 51, formerly of Maiden, died Sept. 7, 2004. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Maiden City Cemetery.
He was a native of Maiden.
Robert Morgan
Robert “Bobby†Dean Morgan, 16, of 2186 Overhill Lane, died Sept. 10, 2004. Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at E.F. Drum Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was a native of Lincoln County.

Eunice Goodson
Eunice Agnes Goodson, 96, of 5343 E. Hwy. 150, died Sept. 11, 2004. Funeral services are 3 p.m. today at Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, Goodson worked in the textiles industry.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Goodson Jr. and Billy Goodson of Newton; three daughters, Janice G. Guiton of Lincolnton, Betty G. Harris and Willena G. Lawing of Maiden; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

James Bostic, 83, of 2234 North Street, died Sept. 10, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 20 minutes prior to the service at the church.
A native of Putnam County, Ga., he was retired from Kinkaid Furniture and attended Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife Mary Jane Patterson Bostic; four sons, James Bostic Jr. of Cherryville, Leon Patterson of Lincolnton, Lee Arthur Bostic of High Point and Charles Bostic of Lincolnton; three daughters, Juanita Barnes of Charlotte, Rev. Mary Bertha Odom and Marlene Archie, both of Shelby; 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Annie Leigh Davis
CHERRYVILLE – Annie Leigh Hyatt Davis, 73, of 700 Self Street, died Sept. 11, 2004. Funeral services are noon Tuesday at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.
A native of Elizabeth City, she was retired from the business office at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Kiser of Crouse, Pat Senter of Maiden; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Clarence Smith
IRON STATION –Clarence Alvin Smith, 91, of 3319 Clarence Smith Lane, died Sept. 13, 2004. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pearl Baptist Church. A native of Lincoln County, he was retired from J. P. Stevens.
Survivors include one daughter, Odie s. Mull of Iron Station; one stepson, Boyce Duckett of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Madge Grant of Hardin and Edna Hensley of Gastonia; two grandchildren, Debbie Behling and Donald Mull and seven great-grandchildren.
Mary Spivey
LINCOLNTON – Mary Elizabeth Dellinger Spivey, 71, of 2825 Hampton Road died Sept. 12, 2004. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Coral Park Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
A native of Lincoln County, she worked in the textile industry.
Survivors include husband David Spivey; one daughter, Sue Gladden of Lincolnton; one brother, Paul Dellinger of Lincolnton; two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.
James Smith
MAIDEN – James “Windy†Smith, 76, of Vicker Drive, died Sept. 11, 2004. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Community Missionary Baptist Church in Catawba where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel.
A native of Catawba County, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Minish, Wanda Rudisill of Maiden, Melisa Moore and Sandra, Smith of Newton; a brother, John Henry Smith of Newton; two sisters, Mattie Morgan of Maiden, and Sona Sisk of Cherryville; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
