Kenneth Perkins
MAIDEN — Kenneth Mack Perkins, 88, of 5452 Hwy. 150 East, died Aug. 31, 2004. Funeral Services were held Thursday at E.F. Drum Chapel.
A native of Lincoln County, he was a self-employed pier builder.
Survivors include his wife Frances Carpenter Perkins; one son, Bobby J. Perkins of Denver; one daughter, Patsy A. Perkins of Maiden; two brothers, Harold Perkins of Mooresville and Billy Perkins of Mount Holly; one grandson, Craig Perkins of Denver; one granddaughter, Leighann Campbell of Lincolnton and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Hospice of Lincoln County and Hospice of Catawba County.
Mattie Dellinger
MAIDEN – Mattie Ann Smith Dellinger, 96, of Buffalo Shoals Road, died Sept. 3, 2004. A service of remembrance was held 3 p.m. Sunday at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton. Burial followed in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include five daughters, Maxine Stamey of Newberry, Fla., Margaret Dellinger of Bisco, Frances Davis of Iron Station, Katherine Beal of Lincolnton and Gail Wilson of Lincolnton; two sons, Leonard A. Dellinger of Newton and Dwight Dellinger of Maiden, 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren.

Alma Williams
CONOVER — Alma Williams, 82, of 4th St. SW, died Sept. 7, 2004. Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Thursday at Maiden Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Maiden City Cemtery. The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. prior to the service.
Born in Catawba County, she worked in a hosiery mill, at Magic Cleaners and at Pilot Furniture. She was a member of Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church.
Survivors include husband Reid Williams of Conover; one daughter, Cynthia Gardner of Conover; one sister, Margaret Laney of Maiden and three grandchildren, Dana Andreasson, Phillip Gardner and Daniel Gardner.

Ethel Hartness Walters, 87, of 1585 Old Lake Rd., died Sept. 7, 2004. Funeral services are 4 p.m. today at Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
A native of Murphy, Walters worked in the textile industry.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Fraley of Westminster, S.C., Carolyn Proctor of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren, Andrew Pasour, Carl Pasour, Deborah Canipe Pate, Kenneth Walters, Todd Walters, Timothy Fraley and Travis Fraley and six great-grandchildren.

She was retired from Rhyne Mills.

A native of Gaston County, she was a retired inspector for Sweetree Mfg., and a member of Church of God in Lincolnton.
Survivors include her husband David Pope; two daughters Shirley Woody of Bessemer City and Dianne Curry of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister Beatrice Dellinger of Crouse; three grandchildren, David Hammond, Shawn Stacy and Daniel Hammond and two great-grandsons.
