Dennis Anthony
CHERRYVILLE — Dennis Burton Anthony, 62, of 1256 Pearl Drive, died Aug. 25, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church where he was a member. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville. The family will receive friends at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight.
Born in Lincoln County, he was a retired weapons specialist from Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Va. He was an Eagle Scout and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Hester of Cherryville; two sons, Jeffrey Todd Anthony of Newport News, Va. and David Brian Anthony of Poquoson, Va.; one brother, Nick Anthony of Lincolnton; and four grandchildren, Amber Chapman, Kenneth Hester Jr., both of Cherryville, and Derek Anthony and Dennis Anthony, both of Poquoson.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 107 W. Academy St., Cherryville, NC 28021.

Camilla Young
CHERRYVILLE — Camilla Byers Young, 75, of 105 N. Chavis Drive in Cherryville, died Aug. 25, 2004. Arrangements are incomplete at Enloe Mortuary.

Linda Ramseur
KINGSTOWN — Linda Kay Parrish Ramseur, 51, of 2127 Kingston Road, died Aug. 25, 2004. Arrangements are incomplete at Enloe Mortuary.

Patty Laney
MAIDEN — Patty Diane Laney, 48, of Laney Road, died Aug. 24, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Center View Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born in Newton, she was employed by Advantage Sales and Marketing as a space management specialist and was top space technician in the southeast.
Survivors include her parents, Floyd R. and Pat Laney of Maiden; two brothers, Floyd R. Laney Jr. of Maiden and Michael Laney, and two sisters, Penny Severt of Hickory and Sandy Arndt of Maiden.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Catawba Valley.
Burke Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Betty Montgomery
Betty Elizabeth Reinhardt Montgomery, 89, of 931 N. Aspen St., died Aug. 21, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hollybrook cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
She was born in Lincoln County.
Survivors include two brothers, Wilson Reinhardt of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Robert Reinhardt of Lincolnton; one sister, Melvenia Brown of Lincolnton and five grandchildren.
Ebony and White’s Funeral Service is charge of arrangements.

Charlie Pace
Charlie Vernon Pace, 83, died Aug. 26, 2004. Arrangements are incomplete at E.F. Drum Funeral Home.

Cleo Schubert
Cleo “Mimi” Schubert, 75, of 1528 Bumgardner James Lane, died Aug. 26, 2004. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
Born in Delavan, Wis., she worked as a hospital admitting supervisor.
Survivors include a son, Craig Jones of Winder, Ga.; two daughters, Cherolyn Wolf of Newton and Donna Beasley of Lincolnton; and four grandchildren.

Lawrence Suttles
Lawrence Douglas Suttles, 72, of Miners Road, died today, Aug. 27, 2004. Arrangements are incomplete at Warlick Funeral Home.
