Jean Griffin
GASTONIA — Jean Ann Miller Griffin, 56, of North Edgemont Avenue, died Aug. 2, 2004. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Born in Sterling, Ill., she worked in retail grocery.
Survivors include her mother, Ruth Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her husband, Mark Griffin of the home; two daughters, Gina Noble of Charleston, SC and Yvonne Dohm of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Stanley Miller of Dixon, Ill. and Charles Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla. and three grandchildren, Matthew Dohm, Kirstin Dohm and Mary Beth Noble.

Claudia Kilpatrick
ELIZABETHTOWN — Claudia Carpenter Kilpatrick, 80, died Aug. 3, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Kinlaw Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
She was a homemaker and former administrator of Bladen County Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Benjamin Kilpatrick of Whiteville and David Kilpatrick of Wilmington; a sister, Minta Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Samuell Carpenter of Elizabethtown and two grandchildren.

Robert Carpenter
VALE — Robert Austin Carpenter, 39, of 3675 Applehill Lane, died Aug. 3, 2004. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Born in Lincoln County, he was a maintenance employee in the office furniture manufacturing industry.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Carpenter of the home; two sons, Casey Carpenter and Dustin Carpenter both of the home; his parents, Ted and Jessie Carpenter of Lincolnton and a sister, Lynn Carpenter of Lincolnton.

M. Reynolds
Margaret Nora Uren Reynolds, 89, of 2885 Gastonia Hwy., died Aug. 6, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pisgah United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Born in Lincoln County, she worked in the textile industry.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Reynolds of the home; a daughter, Blairette Weathers of Lincolnton; a half-brother, Jerry Mosteller of Lincolnton; a sister, Barbara Childers of High Point; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
