Junior Home Run Derby on Friday
The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Major League Baseball Junior Home Run Derby competition to be held Friday, April 21 at 9 a.m. The competition will be held at the Betty G. Ross Recreation Center baseball fields located at 800 S. Madison Street in Lincolnton. The competition is free and is open to boys and girls ages 7 through 14. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate to be eligible to participate. No metal spikes will be allowed at the competition. Adult Dodgeball Meeting
The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation Department will hold a second interest meeting for an adult open and organized Dodgeball league on Tuesday, April 25 at the Lentz Recreation Center at the Betty G. Ross Park. Interested teams should have a representative at this league meeting. Team representatives will meet at 6:30pm. Lifeguard Training Class
The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation is offering a lifeguard training class May 15 through June 8, to be held at the W.M. Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. Ross Park in Lincolnton. The cost for the course is $150, which includes training, books, pocket mask, certification cards and use of equipment. Deadline for registration is 5 p.m. on May 15.
