LINCOLN TIMES-NEWS

The Chicago Bears cut Lincolnton native C.J. Wilson on Saturday.
Wilson, who was signed by the Bears as a free agent in the spring of 2013, was cut despite leading the team in interceptions during the preseason with two.
Wilson made the regular season 53-man roster last season. He played in only two games and made one tackle, and was waived last October before being re-signed to Chicago’s practice squad.
Wilson is now a free agent and can sign with any team.
