A Denver man wanted in California and Florida was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals with assistance from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives secured a search warrant for 2896 Sweeping Pines Drive in Denver and took Justin David Goulet, 27, into custody. In Lincoln County, he is charged with one felony count each of fugitive from justice, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of five or more counterfeit checks. The checks were drawn on a false checking account from a bank in Miami, Florida.
Goulet is also wanted in San Diego, California on a burglary charge and was arrested on outstanding charges from Catawba County.
Detectives Frank Runyon and Greg Hager were assisted by Charlie District Patrol officers during the investigation.
Goulet is being held without bond on the fugitive warrant and was given a $50,500 secured bond on the remaining charges. The investigation is currently ongoing and more charges are pending.
