Thanks for making Lions Club school supply drive a success

Did you know Lions Clubs International (LCI) is the world’s largest coeducational service organization, with over 1.39 million members in 46,713 clubs in 757 districts in 208 countries and geographic areas? LCI’s motto is “We serve.” Our slogan is “Loving Individuals Offering Needed Services.”
In keeping with LCI’s motto and slogan, over the past 63 years, the Lincolnton Lions Club would have been unable to serve without the support of its members and the community. We would like to thank Big Lots of Lincolnton and Dollar General customers and employees for generously donating an assortment of school supplies to our Lions Clubs bi-annual school supply service project. Your school supply donations and concern for students in need showed that you care.
Our Lions Club school supply collection campaign success was not measured by the quantity of what we received from the public, but was measured by the quality of the people’s concerns. We would like you to know that your donated school supplies have been distributed to nine of our 13 elementary schools. Our Lions Club would like to schedule a school supply collection campaign in Denver. Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful in locating a business agreeable to our members standing outside their business to collect school supplies and distributing literature. If any East Lincoln business is interested and agreeable to the Lincolnton Lions Club scheduling a bi-annual school supplies collections and sharing our Lions Club history, then please e-mail me at robttomlinson@hotmail.com.
Thank you for your cooperation and contributions.
Robert A. Tomlinson
