Melvin Patrick McCullah Sr. ‘Tank’
Melvin Patrick McCullah Sr. “Tank” age 37, was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away August 16, 2014 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Patrick was born February 15, 1977 in Sacramento, Calif. to the parents of Patrick Ojeda and Donna McCullah Kills-In-Water.
Patrick was loved by many: his late brother, Robert McCullah; sons, Melvin Patrick McCullah Jr., Anthony Michael McCullah, Tyler Joseph McCullah; two adopted children, Lisa Prevatt and Ryan Coots; niece, Alex McCullah; mother, Donna McCullah Kills-In-Water; mother of his children, Kelly McCullah; and his sister, Lindzy Faria and many more.
Patrick was a loving father who valued his kids more than life itself. Patrick was a great provider, a hardworking man who loved his job at Quality Fire Sprinkler Installation Systems as a pipe fitter. Patrick also loved spending time with his kids and animals, tattooing and the company of friends. Words cannot even begin to express Patrick’s way of loving others.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014 from 11 a.m. until noon at the Good Samaritan Funeral Home in Denver.

Raymond Boyd Leatherman Sr.
Raymond Boyd Leatherman Sr., 66, of Mooresville passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014. Born October 2, 1947 in Lincolnton, he was a son of the late Rufus Sanford and Bertha Tessner Leatherman. Mr. Leatherman retired from Freightliner after 18 years of service. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Mooresville.
Mr. Leatherman was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Leatherman. He is survived by his wife, Jane Hedrick Leatherman, whom he married June 3, 1984; children, Travis Leatherman (Deana), Angela Rascoe (Evans) and Raymond Leatherman Jr.; sister, Karen Setzer (Blake Russell); and five grandchildren, Taylor and Hunter Leatherman and Caleb, Luke and Claire Rascoe.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2014 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Johnny Cozart officiating.

Cleatius Cleamon Potter
Cleatius Cleamon Potter, 77, of Newton died August 20, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born May 4, 1937 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Kainey Potter and the late Elida Sigmon Boyd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Doug Potter; daughter, Debbie Potter; brother, Bill Potter; and a sister, Frances Morgan.
He is survived by wife of 58 years, Lorene Potter of the home; brother, Bud Potter of Lincolnton; sister, Betty Sisk of Sherrills Ford; foster son, Gary Drum of Newton.
A graveside dervice will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews United Church of Christ in Maiden with Chaplain Meg Skidmore officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Burke Mortuary in Newton prior to the graveside service.

Lynn Scott Alexander, 46, of Lincolnton died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born June 17, 1968 in in Gaston County to the late Melvin and Maxcine Mace Alexander.
Survivors include daughter, Tanner McKenzie Alexander of Lincolnton; brother, Chad Alexander of Lincolnton; sisters, Pam Cody and husband Floyd of Lincolnton, Leslie Bishop and husband Troy Frank of Vale, Lydia Clark and husband Harold of Crouse; grandchildren, Austin Jordan and Autumn Jordan.

Fred Jackson Hannon, age 85, of Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

Mr. Hannon was born June 29, 1929, in Catawba County, to the late George Moore and Florence Swink Hannon. He served in the United States Army and then later worked as an engineer tech in textiles.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Wentz Hannon of the home; daughter, Lisa Hannon Bontekoe of Charlotte; and a brother, Harold Hannon of Maryland.

Tina Lynn Price, age 47, of Charlotte, passed away on August 17, 2014. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church for many years and had a passion for doing the Lord’s work.
Tina is preceded in death by her mother, Vickey Keener Price.
She is survived by her father, Johnny A. Price Sr. and her brother, Johnny A. Price Jr.
