Maiden’s boys soccer team scored with six seconds to play to force a 1-1 tie with Lincoln Charter in the boys soccer opener for both teams on Monday.
Roberto Copos found the net 13 minutes into the second half for the Eagles, and the 1-0 lead stood until Christian Medina scored in the final minute of regulation. The match did not go into overtime.
Lincoln Charter outshot the Blue Devils 10-8, and keeper Isaiah Smith had two saves. Maiden keeper Arley Mendoza had four.
The Eagles (0-0-1) missed a pair of penalty kicks in the first half. They host Christ the King today at 5 p.m.
