Lincoln County’s Board of Education plans to discuss several policies and committee requests at a meeting on Tuesday.
Policy topics include items such as internet safety measures, social media, technology in education, school safety and student food services operations.
The Budget and Finance Committee is scheduled to discuss a 2014-2015 Student Fees Request as well as a community eligibility provision.
The Building and Finance Committee will discuss an agreement with AmSan.
According to the company’s website, AmSan is “America’s leading supplier of janitorial and cleaning products.”
Board members are also scheduled to hear reports on school renovations, the Give Kids a Smile-Volunteer Dentist Program, the 2014 Science and Technology Camp Summer Program as well as the Y-Reader Summer Program.
The Lincoln County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Board of Education Administration Offices on North Generals Boulevard in Lincolnton.
A closed session will precede the meeting at 6:30 p.m.
