Mize 50th Anniversary

Charles Frank Mize and Elizabeth Ann Shuford were married fifty years ago today on August 8, 1964, at Asbury Methodist Church, Lincolnton. Originally from Houston, Texas, Lt. Mize was stationed at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC.  A recent graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College, Libby was teaching at an elementary school in Prince George’s County, Maryland. They met while both attended Capitol Heights Methodist Church.  After working  for the Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs in North Dakota, Arizona, and New Mexico, the Mizes returned to Lincolnton where Libby taught fifth and sixth graders at Battleground, S. Ray Lowder, and East Lincoln Middle School. They are now retired and live in Lincoln County.
