Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects in a theft that took place at Al Lane’s Kawasaki on East Highway 27 on July 13.
The break-in occurred around 2:30 a.m. Investigators said security footages showed a small white car pulling in behind a neighboring service station. The vehicle left the scene, only to return 20 minutes later with a U-Haul-style truck. The suspects loaded an orange and gray 2014 Kubota RTV, valued at $13,000. Security cameras did not capture the suspects’ departure.
The theft was discovered around 9:30 a.m. on the morning of July 13. A second RTV had been pushed into nearby field, but was returned to the business.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at (704) 735-8202 or Crime Stoppers at (704) 736-8909. Tips leading to an arrest could receive up to $1,000.
