Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies on Friday arrested Dershae Mylantus Blackburn, 24, of 339 Car Farm Road, Apt 1, in Lincolnton and charged him with possessing a quarter ounce of cocaine.
A tip from a confidential informant indicated that Blackburn was meeting with a supplier buy drugs, leading deputies to set up surveillance, according to a press release.
Investigators observed Blackburn meet with his supplier and then begin to return home, deputies said. They determined that Blackburn did not have a valid driver’s license, stopped his vehicle and were given permission to search him and the car. The search yielded a quarter ounce of powder cocaine, deputies said.
Blackburn was charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance schedule II and one misdemeanor count of driving while license revoked. He was released on a $9,000 secured bond.
