My mother recently spent time in Carolinas Medical Center for a knee replacement. We were so impressed with the new facility and the beautiful grounds and surroundings, but what was even more pleasing was how wonderful she was cared for during her stay. Everyone in the hospital, including the physicians, nurses, therapists (physical, occupational, massage), surgical staff, nutritionists, food services personnel, patient care advocates and housekeepers were not only competent, but also kind and helpful. It was the most pleasant hospital experience my family has ever witnessed in our many hospital visits over the years.
It is so nice to have a hometown hospital with great services! Years past, we had to travel out of town for surgeries, cancer treatments and more. We now can conveniently stay in Lincolnton for these services and feel confident that we are receiving quality care. My family is so grateful for the hardworking employees who served us and ensured my mother’s speedy recovery. Thanks to all the employees of Carolina’s Medical Center for all you do to serve our community. You are making a difference in the lives of so many people!

Footloose a great show
We went to see the Lincoln Theatre Guild’s production of Footloose on June 27 and loved it. As a big fan of the movie, I was not sure how they were going to pull it off, but they did a great job. Most of the performers were high school and college kids, with a lot of talent and a lot of enthusiasm. It takes a lot of guts to get up on stage and sing and dance in front of a bunch of strangers. Wesley Beard, who played Ren, and David Sandoval, who played Willard, were especially terrific. I just love seeing so much talent in little ole Lincoln County!
