Deputies: Leads exhausted in search for missing woman

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office detectives are still looking for a woman from western Lincoln County that has been missing for over a month.
Exhausting most of their leads, detectives went house to house on Palm Tree Drive on June 26 in an area she was known to frequent, in an unsuccessful effort to develop new leads.
Toasha Nicole Rice, 27, was last seen getting into a dark colored four-door car with an unidentified white female on May 26.
Rice, who also goes by the name Nikki Green on Facebook, was known to frequent areas of drug use in Lincoln, McDowell and Gaston counties, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release. She has blue eyes, and brown hair, is 5-foot-6 and weighs 140 lbs.
“We have to operate on the assumption that she decided to go somewhere and that’s where she is,” said Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officer detective Lt. Tim Johnson. “Ms. Rice is a creature of habit and always contacted a family member on a daily basis. She has not been heard from since the day she left.”
Anyone with any information about Rice is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at 704-735-8202 or Lincolnton/Lincoln County CrimeStoppers at (704) 736-8909. Information leading to her location could lead to a $1,000 reward.
