Shooting leaves one injured

Anthony Gene Robinson, 29, of Lincolnton, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury following a shooting incident that occurred early Sunday morning.
Officers with the Lincolnton Police Department were dispatched and en route to a disturbance call received from 1025 East Gaston Street for an incident involving a gun when a second call came out in regard to the incident from Hubbard Street, this time involving a gunshot victim.
After arriving at the scene, officers determined that an altercation between two males, Anthony Robinson and the 21-year-old victim, also of Lincolnton, broke out at the Tavern Club located on Vandiver Drive. The fight was moved to Gaston Street, at which time the victim was shot in the leg. The victim drove himself to Hubbard Street, where his mother lives, and contacted the police department.
Robinson currently being held under a $40,000 bond.
