Our heartfelt thanks
The family of Pat Keener Garris, who has had a battle with cancer for a little over a year, wants to express sincere gratitude to family members, friends, neighbors and coworkers, for prayers, cards, food, flowers and visits.
I believe a part of us dies as we try to help someone we love take her last breath. Letting go of a loved one is the hardest walk we’ll ever take in this life. It helps knowing she is no longer suffering and that our faith in God will get us through.
I truly cannot put into words the hospitality shown to our family by CMC-Lincoln, as the hospital practically became our family’s home in the last month of my sister’s life.
Special thanks to Dr. Neveen Habashi-Falls and her staff, the second-floor staff, ICU staff and to all the nurses, the lunchroom staff and the cleaning staff. Everything you offered us was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
We would also like to thank the pastors and their wives who visited. Thanks to Hulls Grove Baptist Church (west) and their members that generously served us a great meal and provided their church to us. We thank Warlick Funeral Home, the law enforcement that led the funeral and the respect of the unknown that stopped for the procession.
I really don’t know how we’d ever get through this journey in life without prayer, family and friends.
Having people like you help make it easier to bear.
Please forgive if I’ve failed to mention your thoughtfulness.
We’re blessed to have some of the most considerate people in Lincolnton. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
Many blessings to all of you.
