NL Black splits DH with South Caldwell B

North Lincoln Black’s pitching continued to roll in its split of a doubleheader with South Caldwell B on Tuesday.
Mitchell Keener gave up one hit and struck out six in three scoreless innings for the win, and Chris Jorgensen allowed a run on two hits and fanned one in two innings to take Game 1
8-1.
Seth McCroie (2-for-3, double), Nick Solomita (2-for-2, RBI, three runs), Daniel Thompson (2-for-3, two RBIs, two runs) and Aaron Connor (3-for-3, double, two RBIs) led North Lincoln Black.
In Game 2, Ty Lilly and McCroie combined to allow two hits, but also combined for six walks –– four by Lilly –– in the 4-2 loss.
Lilly gave up two runs, one earned, on one hit, walked four and struck out three in four innings in the loss. McCroie gave up two earned runs on one hit and walked two in one inning.
Reid McCroie (2-for-2, RBI), Parker Wilson and Connor had North Lincoln Black’s four hits. Seth McCroie drove in a run.

SR. LEGION BASEBALL

CHERRYVILLE 8, RANDOLPH COUNTY 7: At Cherryville, Cameron High’s walk-off sac fly gave Post 100 the non-division win on Monday.
Tied at 7, Caleb Narron, Chandler Jenkins and Brandon Alexander each singled to start the home-half of the ninth. High the drove in to right-center field, and Narron tagged up from third for the win.
Alexander (2-for-5), Dalton Towery (2-for-4), Hunter Jackson (2-for-4, two RBIs) and Josh Beam (2-for-3, two RBIs) led Cherryville. Beam pitched a scoreless ninth and gave up two hits in one inning of work for the win.
NAPOLEAN (OHIO) 15, CHERRYVILLE 5, 7 INN.: At Cherryville, Post 100 dropped a non-division game on Tuesday.
Randall Long hit a two-run home run in the second inning for Cherryville.
Post 100 (12-5) will face Wilmington Post 10 at 4:30 p.m. today at Keeter Stadium in Shelby.
