Two brothers killed in car wreck

Staff report
The state highway patrol confirmed two brothers were killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Reepsville Road on the county’s western end on Thursday.
Joshua Gantt, 27, of Diamond Lane in Vale, and his brother Casey Gantt, 23, of Sam Houser Road in Vale, were both killed when their vehicle slammed into a tree near Union Elementary School. Troopers said a third man, who was not identified, survived the crash and was taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
Troopers said they received a call shortly before the crash that a red Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Joshua, was being driven erratically. They believe the Pontiac passed another vehicle, ran off the left side of the road and overcorrected to the right side, causing the crash. The passenger side of the vehicle bore the brunt of the impact. Troopers said reckless driving and excessive speed factored into the crash, which is under investigation.
Troopers said everyone in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.
